"Drama has consistently played a significant role in my life. At the age of eight I started taking private examinations with the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama as well as the New Era Academy. I have achieved top medal status, gaining some of the highest marks in the country, with distinctions at almost every level. After completing A-levels in Classics and Theatre Arts amongst others I undertook an intensive three years BA (Honours) degree in Drama and Theatre Arts at Middlesex University. This high profile course provided me with a unique overview of all aspects of performance including acting, directing, storytelling, set and costume design, and the history of the theatre. During this time I was awarded a prestigious place to train for one semester at the University of South Florida, America, where I specialised in voice and script analysis.

After graduating I chose to work for the BBC, contributing to the spoken-word output at both local and network levels. This role allowed me to work on specific drama projects such as helping students of the East 15 drama school broadcast three radio plays. I also devised a script writing workshop for the public as part of the BBC's reading and writing campaign. 

I am also a qualified drama teacher having completed a PGCE at Goldsmiths College, University of London and I have significant experience of teaching in schools. I am an active member of The Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama and regularly attend their professional development days."
